Over the past few weeks, we have received
several emails and phone calls from upset people regarding unauthorized debit
charges to their bank account or credit card for products/services, so we wanted to post this
information to help you in this matter if you are one of them.
The company
taking these unauthorized charges is NOT affiliated with our company whatsoever.
There has been a misunderstanding.
The company you actually have issue with is doing business at the domain insidersecretstips.com ... this is NOT affiliated with our company Uncommon Finds NOR with our website, insidersecrets.info. It seems they just have a slightly similar web address as we do.
I personally took the liberty of doing a whois domain name search on them and it shows the company in question is actually "edirectsoftware", located in Montana (we are in Florida). They registered their domain name insidersecretstips.com in July 2008 (our insidersecrets.info
was registered December 2001.) Here are two contact phone numbers shown on
their registration that you might want to try calling: 780-416-0215
and 780-416-0218. All of this information can be found through a whois search
such as the one at http://whois.domaintools.com A great way to get the skinny on any company or person is also to do a Google search on the following 4 pieces of information: company name, web address, telephone numbers, and administrative contact person's name. You'll find this info on the whois search and then can search away. This technique is something I personally use myself when I need to track down a contact.
Other telephone numbers we tracked down on the web:
866-499-5567 ..Wu-Yi Tea
866-363-0187...Insider Secrets to Weight Loss
800-989-5907...Comprehensive Weight Loss E-book
866-449-5567
We finally figured all of this out by piecing
information together during conversations with the victims of these unauthorized
charges. When you call the telephone number for the company which
appears on your bank statement, you will hear "Hello and thank you for calling
the Insider Secrets expert tips preferred customer line. This package was made
available to you at a deeply discounted rate when you signed up with one of our
partners' offers ..." Listen all the way to the end of the message because it
says "To access this valuable information, simply go to insidersecretstips.com
and log in using the username insider ..." We are insidersecrets.info.
It's just a similar name (which by the way we had first, as any domain search
will prove).
You have probably landed here on our site
by doing an internet search on "insider secrets tips". PLEASE notice that the
only reason our site turned up on your search was because our home page title is
"Insider Secrets -- tips you can't live without"
..............
... once again, we would like to reassure you that we are NOT
affiliated with insidersecretstips.com and we have not been debiting your
account for any product or service. We don't even have the capability to do
debits of any kind!
I am very sorry to hear that other company is defrauding you.
Try all in your power to call them and find a way to stop the charges. You could
probably arrange with your bank or credit card to have them blocked somehow.
Best wishes,
Deborah McGeorge
