When you use Bing.com to find items to buy on eBay, Microsoft will give you a percentage of cashback on many of your eBay BUY IT NOW purchases if you pay with PayPal. It sounds too good to be true, but it really is the truth. I use it myself when I buy on eBay and other places. It’s called the Microsoft Bing (formerly Microsoft Live Search) CashBack Rewards Program.

ALL of the Buy It Now purchases you make from our eBay store Uncommon Finds qualify for this cashback program because we do not use a third-party checkout system and we’re not selling vehicles or real estate. Imagine … money back! So if the current cashback percentage rate is 30%, on a $50 purchase you’ll pocket $15. On a $500 purchase, you’ll pocket $150. And so on!! The best part about it is you can pocket up to $2,500 in cashback savings per calendar year from all your online shopping! 2. Make sure your browser is configured to accept cookies. You can temporarily allow them just for this purchase and then go back and reset them until next time if you want. To enable cookies in Internet Explorer, go to Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/Accept All Cookies. (Slide the bar all the way to the bottom.)

3. CLICK HERE to sign up for a free Microsoft Bing CashBack account.

4. Go to bing.com and enter a popular search term such as “iphone”, "wii", "xbox", "ps3", "gold", “gold coin”, for example.) It’s OK if you’re not going to buy one of those items, this is just the simplest way to make sure you get directed right to eBay.

5. Click on the Bing cashback link next to the result for www.ebay.com  in the shaded sponsored sites area at the top or bottom of the page. (If it isn’t there for some reason, just hit refresh until you see a cashback link there.) Make sure you open this link in the same browser window, not in a new window.

 

6. You will now be automatically taken to eBay. Go to your "My eBay" section and click on the listing you have set up to watch. You should see the Microsoft cashback logo at the top of your page. Now hit the BUY IT NOW button. (If you place an AUCTION bid or a BEST OFFER it will not work.)
 

7. Before 'Committing to Buy', be sure the CashBack details are shown on the screen with the proper percentage off the item’s value. At the time of this writing, eBay's cashback rate was 8%, as seen below. Don't Commit to buy yet if you want to get the extra 3% from MrRebates. There's one more step.
 

 

8. Leave the browser window open and open another browser. CLICK HERE to sign up for a free MrRebates account.

9. Type eBay into the search box.

10. Click on the eBay link on the store results page. You will now be automatically taken to eBay. Go to your "My eBay" section and click on the listing you have set up to watch.


11. Click on the Buy It Now button again. The confirmation page should still show the Microsoft Bing Cashback banner.

12. Hit the Commit to Buy button, then check out and pay with PayPal.

13. On the “Thank You For Your Payment” page, you’ll see instructions on how to get your Bing cashback reward. (You have to wait for a message to come to your eBay Inbox with "cashback" in the subject line. That email will take you to the final step.) Note: If you do not receive this message within a few days, contact eBay through live chat support. They will manually send the message to you.

Microsoft Bing:

You can log into your Bing account any time to check how much money is accumulating.

Even though eBay doesn't show up in the alphabetical list of stores on the Bing cashback page, they ARE participating in the program. They are not technically a "store" since millions of different sellers offer their goods on eBay, so perhaps that's why. I called eBay myself and spoke with a representative who verified they are in fact in the program. The real proof came when the Microsoft cashback green button showed up during the buying process (as shown in the screenshots above) and when I received my cashback credit.

Some of the fine print is: it takes 1-60 days for you to gain access to the cashback funds. You must successfully complete your eligible transaction within a 60 minute online session. The maximum cashback reward you can receive is $200 per transaction and a maximum of $2,500 per person annually. You can only earn CashBack Rewards one time per hour. The rewards are not credited if the merchandise is returned / order is cancelled. Be sure to read complete rules and follow them, and you're good to go.

Here’s an awesome part of the fine print: eBay says you can do this for 20 different tranactions PER eBay account … so if you have more than one eBay account, you can multiply your savings over and over and save THOUSANDS of dollars all year long!

* Please note that Microsoft and/or eBay periodically changes the percentage rate of cashback. At the time of this writing it is 8%, but it has been 30% and varying rates in the past. You can log into your MrRebates account any time to check how much money is accumulating.

Some of the fine print is: rebates CAN be earned on auction items and Buy It Now items. Maximum cash-back rebate of $30 per order. Rebates get credited within 3-30 business days from the order date or the ship date. Rebates don't expire and can be cashed out via check or PayPal at any future point in time as long as the minimum payment threshold of $10 has been reached. Gift cards or gift certificates (used as a payment method in checkout at a store) will NOT generate cash-back rebates.
